Senior Kylen Blom Wins Prize in Entrepreneurship Competition

Hope College senior Kylen Blom, who is a participant in Hope's Center for Faithful Leadership, won $2,000 last week for his web-based start-up company, My Great Lake, at a 5x5 monthly business competition in Grand Rapids.  At each competition, five presenters with five ideas have five minutes each to present five slides to five judges for the chance to win up to $5000 in grant money.  Kylen presented his unique t-shirt design that allows customers to declare their love for their favorite Great Lake.

At Hope's Winter Happening in January, Kylen was one of several students who praised the Center for Faithful Leadership for helping them hone entrepreneurial skills.
